Alwyn Cowan
Alwyn has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry; 10 of these working for German's largest bank. Over the course of his career, Alwyn has assumed increasing levels of responsibility in managing portfolios of retail, commercial and corporate clients. Alwyn received a number of awards for business development, team building, and portfolio growth; and was a recipient of the Coveted Royal Performance Award.
Trained in Germany, Alwyn holds an MBA from one of the world's top business schools, University of Stuttgart where he specialized in accounting and international business. He also holds a specialized honours degree from the same institution, where he majored in finance and business strategy. He has completed courses and workshops focusing on commercial/corporate risk analysis, credit assessment and understanding capital market products & services.
In 2002 Alwyn founded Cowan Investments LLC and has finance hundred of projects worldwide. Alwyn was a regular facilitator of monthly workshops provided to aspiring USA entrepreneurs, topics addressed included: business plan writing, alternative financing methods, working capital management and risk mitigation techniques.
Simon Hart
Simon is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Cowan Investments LLC. He was previously working with Fortune 100 companies such as TIAA-CREF, Kodak, and Wall Street firms, across multiple industries including; Financial Services, Health & Wellness, Film Finance, Hospitality, and Technology.
He is also a General Partner with a multi-investor platform working with early-later stage companies, and entrepreneurs via investor conferences, meetings, and company & investor matchmaking technology. He also advised athletes, and some of the most dynamic, under-followed, early and later-stage companies across multiple industries (technology, health & wellness, Media & Entertainment, gaming, e-commerce, consumer products). In this role, he supported senior leaders with strategic management and portfolio analytics on an $4 billion portfolio of debt and equity assets. In May 2005, Simon joined Cowan Investments LLC, where he underwrote over $1 billion of fixed and floating-rate mortgages for all asset classes.
